In this unit pupils ;

• visit and explore the traces of the mining landscape in their locality.


• investigate historical sources to find out about the mines of the Tamar Valley and the people who worked there


• find out about the ores mined in the Tamar Valley and discover the stories of the mines and the people who worked there.


• dress up as miners and balmaidens and re-enact the sights and sounds of the mining past
