Henry Trengrouse, a cabinet maker from Helston, is the fore-father of modern lifesaving equipment. He invented the rocket lifeline, breeches buoy and cork life jacket.
In this unit pupils;
- investigate historical sources to find out why so many shipwrecks happened around Cornwall
- design and make models of rescue inventions
- perform a demonstration of a rescue
